Lee Merrick was not a carnival operator by trade. Lee started his own business of animal rendering. His company became lucrative enough that Merrick could cultivate his passion for miniature railroads ultimately buying a piece of land for his first train loop. The hobby grew into acquiring amusement rides and ultimately, partnered with Darryl Klompmake, the birth of Little A-Merrick-A in 1991
